Otherbox is made by S-Block Technologies. This page covers the website at otherbox.app and the closed beta.

The waitlist

If you join the waitlist, we keep your email address and the time you signed up. We use it only to invite you to the beta and to tell you about Otherbox. We don't sell it or share it. To be removed, email support@sblocktechnologies.com.

The beta app

In the beta, we keep the stations you start, the songs you play and your thumbs up and down, so the stations can follow your taste. We don't show ads and we don't use tracking cookies.

Who processes data

The site and app run on a server we rent from OVHcloud in the US. The artist or song you type is sent to Google Gemini, to describe its musical style, and to MusicBrainz, to suggest matching artists and songs. After that, the steps that write the lyrics, record the songs and paint the album covers (Gemini, Lyria and OpenAI) are sent only the style description, not the artist or song you typed. None of these services get your email address.
